Terms & Conditions

These terms apply when you book a session with Vidya Colon Clinic or use this website. They are written to be read, not to be skipped.

What we provide

All treatments and consultations at Vidya Colon Clinic are complementary therapies. They are intended to support your wellbeing alongside conventional medicine, not in place of it. Nothing we provide is a medical diagnosis, and nothing we say should be taken as a reason to stop, start or change a medication your doctor has prescribed. If you have a symptom that worries you, please see a doctor about it as well as us.

Booking and confirmation

When you request a time through the portal, that time is held for you but is not yet confirmed. It becomes a confirmed appointment only when the practitioner confirms it, and you will receive an email at that point. Nothing is confirmed by the website alone, because every booking is reviewed against your health form first.

Your health form

Before your first appointment can be confirmed you must complete the health form in your portal account, honestly and in full. Before each subsequent treatment you will be asked to confirm whether anything has changed. This is not paperwork for its own sake: several of the conditions we ask about make a treatment unsafe, and we cannot know about them unless you tell us. If you do not complete the form, the appointment will not be confirmed.

When we may decline to treat

We may decline to carry out a treatment, before or on the day, if something you have disclosed makes it unsafe, if you are unwell, or if you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Where a condition needs your doctor's clearance first, we will tell you and we will wait for it. Declining is not a judgement about you β€” it is the reason the questions are asked.

Cancellations and rescheduling

Please give us at least 24 hours' notice to cancel or move an appointment. The clinic is one practitioner, and a slot cancelled at short notice is usually one nobody else can take. Repeated late cancellations or missed appointments may mean we ask for payment in advance for future bookings.

Payment

Payment is due at the session unless we have agreed otherwise. Prices shown on this website are current prices and may change, but the price you were quoted when your appointment was confirmed is the price you will pay for that appointment.

Your portal account

Your portal account holds your health record. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, and tell us straight away if you think someone else has had access to them. Please keep your contact details up to date β€” an appointment reminder sent to an old email address helps nobody.

Your information

How we handle your personal and health information is set out in full in our Privacy Notice, which forms part of these terms.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to your appointment is the one published when that appointment was confirmed.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

Agreement

By booking a session you confirm that you have read and understood these terms, that the information you have given us about your health is accurate and complete, and that you are attending of your own choice.
